Lazy Sunday

A man has just been round to measure up for a new front door.... despite the fact this was only agreed yesterday, I'd completely forgotten he was coming! Thank god I was dressed, although brushed hair might have been nicer!

I've been totally useless this morning - have only just bathed Lola and Reggie (not that they particularly cared), and they're now chomping on a lettuce leaf which is 5 times the size of them! Awwwww they love each other - it's like the two dogs sharing a strand of spaghetti in Lady and the Tramp!

Just thought - maybe this lack of motivation is a delayed reaction to the appaling result in ADWD!

And despite being nearly 3/4 of the way through the weekend, I STILL haven't watched one of the Laurel and Hardy movies!!!!

I need to get my butt in gear!

ADWD result

Outrageous!

Got an hour to kill!

Had a busy day today, trying to wile away the time til ADWD!

Did the usual shopping/ boring housework / gardening/ Internet geeking. Oh, and went to look at new front doors too.... don't get jealous at my exciting life!

Stalker Cat now recognises my car, and chased it down the street when I came back - so much for trying to play it cool, eh?

I now have Stalker Cat 2 which must be from New Zealand, cos its All Black! Tee hee! See, even though I'm annoyed with Lewis, I can still crack a rubbish joke!

Went down to the beach today - my mum and dad's beach hut has lost a large chunk of flooring, too many high tides apparently! So I said I'd go and give them a hand fixing it (sometimes I'm sure I should have been born a bloke!).... of course, I was so helpful, that I turned up an hour before they decided to call it a day! I was given the task of painting preservative UNDER the beach hut.... and some bright spark decided to buy the clear stuff, so I couldn't actually see which bits I'd done! A lot of it sprayed on me anyway, so now the water runs off me when I have a shower, but at least I won't get wood rot! Boom Boom!

When I dropped mum & dad back to theirs, I had to go in with them, cos I had a full bladder. I dashed to the downstairs loo, only to find about 5 trays of mealy worms in the bathroom! But I was so desperate, I didn't care if I had an audience!

Yes, my mum and dad buy live worms, so they can feed them to the birds (and I occasionally swipe some to feed my hedgehogs)..... so if you ever wondered why I'm such a freak....!

ADWD

Lewis annoyed me so much when he was singing "sweet caroline" tonight, that I had to walk out of the room!!!

And then he annoyed me again, because I nearly missed Lee singing, because I'd had to go out of the room!

And then he annoyed me again, because he's still in this show!

And then I saw his neck.

And then he started talking in that girlie whiney voice.

And then he did the duet with Lee, and kept on trying to mimic Antonio "my love" Banderas [who incidentally I saw on a bilboard advertising Police sunglasses - man, I nearly swooned in the street] by dropping in the odd word with a faux Argentinian accent.

And then Lord Lloyd Webber annoyed me when he inferred that Lewis was as good as Lee.

And now I've got just over an hour to wait to find out if I'm going to be annoyed next week, cos he's still in it!

p.s. I love Captain Jack and his shiney spikey hair cut

Pathetic....

....and ashamed!

I blubbed at the very end of Dr Who today!

Exciting news.....

..... ADWD is on tonight!!!!

Disappointing news -> Lewis is still in it!

Won't be doing this again!

After a hectic day, came home to find Lola and Reggie had peed on the flooring, and it had all dried up! Nice!

Then Stalker Cat turned up for a bit of Roofie Lovin' - eurgh, made myself cringe typing that! Anyway, he scared me more than The Grudge tonight, by sneaking into my wardrobe when I wasn't looking... when I opened the door, I just saw this pair of yellow eyes staring at me!!!! I nearly shat myself!

{Gina, thanks for reminding me about that film - I was so traumatised after seeing it, that I completely blocked it out of my mind, and now, with the memory jolt, I probably won't sleep again for another month}

Anyway, I managed to evict S.C. from the Big Mutha bedroom quite quickly, with not a rigged phone vote in sight! Which was a bonus, as for a change, I was actually running late for my hot date with Mrs Robbo !

I've got no idea what possessed me to do this, think the sun might have affected my judgement a little bit, but I decided to cycle round to Mrs Robbo's. I haven't done any proper exercise for aaaaages, but I found my trusty helmet, dusted it off (Safety First, kids) and got changed into some completely inappropriate cycling clothing!

Of course, by the time I'd reached the bottom of my road (about 100 yards), I'd realised that I was being TOO ambitious, and if it wasn't for the kids playing in the street, I would have turned round and got my car instead! But hey, I've got to live down this road, and I didn't want to seem TOO uncool (well, more than usual).

By the time I got round to Mrs Robbo's, I looked the colour of one of those Ribena men in the adverts, and had a really shiny face, coupled with the fact that I could barely speak or breathe - mmmm how attractive I must have been!

After about an hour, I think my colour and my heartbeat returned to normal, and Mrs Robbo & I could have a good ole chinwag!

As dusk was falling, I suddenly realised that the light on my bike had flopped forwards, and was pointing down... so it kind of occurred to me that I'd have to leave earlier than I'd planned!

So, I managed to prop the light back up, and set off (painfully) on the journey home! By the time I'd got to the end of the road, the light had flopped again, so I thought it was probably better to take a short cut through an Industrial Estate, which would be relatively empty. So I propped the light up again, and carried on my journey, cycling the wrong way down the one way system. Of course, I saw another cyclist coming towards me, and when he got closer, I realised it was a policeman - just my luck!!!! Despite not being a religious person, I could feel myself thinking "please god, don't let the light drop", while trying to muster a grin and a nodded "evening", and at the same time trying to look like I wasn't an elephant escaping from a local circus on one of the clown's bikes! Luckily the policeman just nodded back, smiled, and carried on his way - phew!

Got home in one piece, but now I have incredible saddle sore!
