To the inconsiderate bitch on the c2c 16:08 from West Ham:
If you're going to keep everyone awake with your loud irritating phone call, at least find an interesting subject to talk about! I don't want to hear what parts of your anatomy you are getting waxed tomorrow!

Pathetic
I amaze even myself with my stupidity at times!
At work today, my colleague was telling me that he's currently listening to Oasis "greatest hits" in his car.... "oh is that good?" I asked.
He walked away shaking his head!

grandparents
My mum and dad came round to see their grand-tortoises today - apparently they've been so worried about Lola, that they rushed round as soon as they knew she was out of hibernation ( a full 30 hours later).
For the last 3 weeks, I've had to endure tactless comments from my mum about how could I DO that to Lola, and how could I go out socialising when she could be dead etc! Which hasn't helped the situation.
So when she was cuddling Reggie today, and he peed on her, I made no attempt to disguise my laughter - even though it went all over the couch as well!
He got an extra lettuce leaf tonight!

HURRAH
Lola's out of the fridge!
She's survived hibernation - phewwwwwwwwwwww!
I've just defrosted her, and she's having a nice bath now - bless!
Reggie is throwing a jealous sulk, and has buried himself - spoilt!

Lifts
I really hate talking in lifts.
Yesterday I was waiting for a lift with some colleagues and when someone asked how the trains were after all the high winds last week, I started to explain how some man was really agitated on the train and was trying to force everybody to move further down the train. Unfortunately for me, as the lift doors closed (in a crowded lift) I actually said "this bloke was slapping me on the back trying to get me to go down further" and all these people I didn't know started to snigger!
How very very dare they!

Market
Went to North Weald Market today.... I love going round markets, listening to all the bartering and bantering that goes on - there's always a great atmosphere, whatever the weather.
Unfortunately, it was bitterly cold and wet there, and I realised I had trenchfoot and no skin left on my face, which was a good time to leave....
Why does it always hurt twice as much when you stub your toes when you're cold????

Commuting part deux
Welcome to part 2 of my commuting annoyance....
When there's a problem with the trains (ie cancellations etc) why do all commuters turn into something you'd read about in Lord of the Flies??? Everyone seems to lose that indoctrinated British art of queuing, and turn primitive as they elbow and trample over everyone in their desperation to get on the train. I know when you're spending 3k a year on a season ticket we all think we've got as much right to a seat as anyone else, but I don't want to get bruises every time this happens.
And what is it with the train announcers? All of a sudden, they have a captive audience, and they turn train commentery into "An audience with..." comedy sketch. Which is lovely, but a bit of consistency would be nice...
See, this is why I didn't start a blog before - it makes me sound like some middle aged miserable hag.
Hell, who cares, I'm not advertising this blog anyway

Commuting
I know I'm going to sound REALLY old now, but why are people so inconsiderate when they're on a train??? Why can't they see that the majority of their fellow passengers are asleep, and don't want to be woken by their uninteresting phone conversations?
And it was bad enough having to listen to the irritating noise coming out of people's headphones, but what is this with the mobile phones blaring music out on speakers?
God, I can't wait til they invent Teleporting!

Hibernation
My beloved Lola FINALLY went into hibernation yesterday! She's only 18mths old, so is only going to be hibernating for two weeks.... but it's her first time in hibernation, and I'll spend the longest 2 weeks of my life stressing over whether she'll pull through at the other end!!!! Thank God for hair dye, as I will be soooo grey by the time she wakes up!
Reggie is only 6 mths old, so too young to hibernate. He doesn't seem to be missing Lola yet - I think it's because he's getting to sleep in her pen while she's away, and she's got a "proper" bedroom! Let's hope he doesn't get too miffed when he gets turfed back into his own pen in a couple of weeks time!
Can you believe that I'm actually thinking that Work is going to be a really useful distraction for these two weeks???? And I'm the worst procrastinater going.... I actually switched on my pc so I could do some Reflexology studying, and ended up starting a blog instead! I'll have probably forgotten I started this in a month's time!!!
